I see many city needs going unmet while pet projects are funded. Why are there 62 miles of unpaved city streets in East Portland? The rounding errors of a $1.5 plus billion dollar city budget would pay for many miles.
Broken parking meters can't be easily reported because they lack a durable plaque with the help/contact number on them. Parking tickets are processed by the County rather than in Municipal Court at cost great enough to pay for many unfilled police positions.
